MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to glorify God by reaching hurting people and helping them rebuild and restore their lives in a positive way by giving them a "helping hand" in an effort to move forward with their lives by providing basic life necessities (food, clothing, furniture, household items, hygiene products), while at the same time showing them the Love of Jesus and helping them to understand they are valuable, loved and not alone or forgotten. 

WHAT WE DO

We provide basic life necessities (food, furniture, clothes, household items, hygiene) to single moms & families struggling to meet these needs.  We meet with the family to assess their needs.  We then begin to pickup, deliver & set up the furniture in their home.  Once everything is provided for the family, we pray with them, share the Gospel with our new friends and encourage them to find a local Bible-teaching church to attend.  We also make sure everyone understands that we are not doing this of our own power, but we are the Hands and Feet of Jesus and everything comes from Him.

We also serve monthly feeding outreaches to the homeless under the bridges in New Orleans.  We set up a buffet-style meal and we spend a couple of hours serving them, praying with them and hearing their stories.  We also provide clothes and hygiene products for them if needed.  During our outreaches, we are also looking for women who may possibly be subject to human trafficking to get them to the proper resource and we are also trying to help addicts get off the streets and into a treatment program.  

We make a point to not "enable" people, but help them understand that we are the "helping hand" to give them a lift up to move forward in their lives, while at the same time, showing them God's unconditional love.
