Our mission is to glorify God by reaching hurting people and helping them rebuild their lives in a positive way.  We are reaching out to the homeless, hurting and any other people in need to give them a "helping hand" in an effort to move forward with their lives in a positive way by providing basic life necessities (food, clothing, furniture, household items) while at the same time showing them the Love of Jesus and helping them to understand they are valuable, loved and not forgotten.

We have been working with the homeless in the New Orleans area by having monthly feeding outreaches where we not only feed them, but we sit and listen to their stories, visit with them and pray with them.  We also obtain lists of things they need (clothes, hygiene products, etc.) and try to meet those needs over the following weeks.  We have also worked with former homeless who have been taken off the streets and placed in subsidized housing, single moms/dads, veterans, elderly and many others who are in need of furniture, household items, clothes, etc. to make their place a home.  We have provided everything from furniture, pots/pans and food to bath towels, eating utensils, shower curtains, pictures on the wall; basically, everything a person needs to set up a home.  We also make sure everyone understands that we are not doing this of our own power, but we are the Hands and Feet of Jesus and everything comes from Him.  We share the Gospel with our new friends and encourage them to find a local Bible-teaching church to attend.

We make a point to not "enable" people, but help them understand that we are the "helping hand" to give them a lift up to move forward in their lives, while at the same time, showing them God's unconditional love.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
