WOW! We had an awesome feeding outreach this past weekend with the homeless in New Orleans.

We had a 4th of July picnic, including watermelon!!! We served hot dogs, hamburgers, mac & cheese, baked beans, barbecued sausage, jambalaya, a green bean dish, fruit, desserts, drinks and bread. We also passed out hygiene bags.

Before we began serving, we joined with the people in the lines and prayed the Lord's Prayer and sang Jesus Loves Me together. It was great!!

We throw out a HUGE thank you to all those who prayed for this outreach, served and provided. Again, this could not be done without the generosity and compassionate hearts of everyone working together. It is humbling to see the team work of everyone working together under that noisy interstate to show our homeless friends dignity, respect and to let them know we love them and most of all God loves them. Our guests are constantly coming up to us and thanking us for thinking about them. They are truly appreciative of our time together.
